1. The $200 Prezzy Card refer a friend promotion is conducted by Abacus Group Ltd, and the following terms and conditions apply.

2. By participating in the promotion, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3. The refer a friend promotion commences on 1st June 2023 and ends on 31st August 2023 at 5pm. Extended at Abacus Groups discretion. (“Promotion Period”).

4. The promotion is open to all existing Abacus Group clients, who refer a friend within this timeframe, and meet the criteria below.

Criteria

5. Your referral must have consented to you passing on their contact details.

6. 1 Prezzy card reward of $200 is available per completed policy per new client referred. They must have at least 1 completed policy, not per each life assured, or each separate entity, or each policy type. e.g. A couple = 1 reward, 1 personal and 1 business policy = 1 reward, 1 Life policy & 1 Health policy = 1 reward.

7. Not valid on past referrals.

8. To be eligible to participate in this refer a friend promotion you must have previously purchased and hold a current policy with Abacus Group Ltd.

9. Your friend must hold their policy for a minimum of 1 month. If they cancel before this time, or do not pay their first monthly premium you will not be eligible for the reward.

10. Your friend must be a new customer of Abacus Group Ltd, who has not previously purchased insurance through us.

11. Prezzy card reward will be issued within 10 days of eligibility criteria being met.

12. You can refer as many friends as you wish and will receive a reward for each friend that meets the criteria.

14. Abacus will not be liable to any person for any damage caused to the Prezzy card, or if the card is lost, stolen or goes missing, after the card is dispatched for delivery to the Prize winner.

Events affecting delivery of and entitlement to the reward

15. Abacus will not be required to provide any person with a reward where, in Abacus’ sole discretion that person is not (or is no longer) eligible.

16. Abacus Group staff members and their families are ineligible to enter.

17. Any delays in stock of the Prezzy card reward are not the responsibility of Abacus Group.

18. The reward is the sole responsibility of the recipient. The card is not transferable, not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

General

19. Abacus, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to discontinue, extend or amend the Promotion at any time without notice to any person for any reason. Abacus will only do this where it considers it is reasonable to do so.

20. Abacus’ decision on any matter regarding the Promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

21. Subject to any obligation under law, such as the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986, Abacus will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Promotion or any reward.

22. Abacus takes no responsibility for any misdirected, lost, incomplete, damaged, corrupted, incorrectly submitted, or late entries, or any human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed data transmission, computer or network failure, incorrect email address on record, or any other interruption that may affect the conduct of the Promotion.

Privacy

23. Your friends information is collected in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Participants have the right to access and correct their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 by contacting Abacus Group Ltd in writing at P O Box 22, New Plymouth, 4340, or by calling 06 7590111.

24. Participants agree that Abacus Group is entitled to use their name and or photograph for marketing, promotion, communication, and publicity purposes in connection with the Promotion.
